loft at luna wedding

Grand Rapids, MI | Zoe + Patrick

Zoe and Patrick chose the spend the first part of their Loft at Luna Grand Rapids wedding day with just their closest family and friends. After their beautiful and intimate ceremony, they opened the loft reception up to even more of their loved ones. Zoe did a stunning job designing the space. She allowed the architecture to speak for itself and accented it with simple candles and greenery. They are a perfect example of the non-traditional and doing what your heart truly desires on your wedding day. Not to mention, if you get married at the loft at luna, the tacos are BOMB. Also, tacos are the way to my heart, so yes please…and yes I did go back for seconds…thirds.

Here is what Zoe and Patrick had to say about their wedding at The Loft at Luna:

My husband and I chose to have a small ceremony that only included our immediate families. This made it more special for us to only have our closest family witness our vows and also put a lot less pressure on us since we both are don’t-like-to-be-the-center-of-attention type of people. Our venue (The Loft at Luna) was perfect for us because we were able to do our small ceremony there without any wait time before the reception started. We loved the food that Luna provided (and so did everyone else based on what we heard) and the space required minimal decorations because it was so beautifully designed and went with my vision for my wedding (brick, exposed ceiling beams, handmade wood tables, wood pillars, and big windows on both sides of the space).

My favorite memories of the day were the first look photos that we did in an alley behind the event space, the whole ceremony- including before and after when it was just my husband and I and celebrating with our parents and siblings, waiting to enter the reception with my husband when we had a few minutes to ourselves, taking couple pictures after the ceremony, the first dance and the dance with my dad. O’Malley did an amazing job capturing all of my favorite moments from the day so I can look back and reminisce anytime I want to.

My advice to future couples who are planning a wedding is to stick to what you want, not what anyone else thinks you should do or have and make sure to take time to enjoy the moments with your family and especially your new husband during your wedding day.
